Sony to Exhibit at 'The 30th Spring Annual Conference of the Japan Association for Medical Informatics (Symposium 2026 in Utsunomiya)'

Sony Marketing Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Daisuke Kawaguchi) will exhibit at 'The 30th Spring Annual Conference of the Japan Association for Medical Informatics (Symposium 2026 in Utsunomiya),' to be held at Light Cube Utsunomiya (Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture) from Thursday, June 11, to Saturday, June 13, 2026.

At the Sony booth, the company will showcase and propose solutions using Sony products that can be utilized in hospitals and other medical-related facilities. As a new communication method to replace the PHS systems widely used in hospitals, the company will conduct 'touch-and-try' sessions for the sXGP-enabled smartphone, 'Xperia 10 VII.'

Additionally, Sony will present 'Callsign,' an intercom app that allows smartphones to function as professional intercoms or transceivers, as well as 'Callsign &,' an optional app featuring transcription and chat capabilities scheduled for release in late May. Demos illustrating usage scenarios linking these two apps will be conducted.

Furthermore, Sony will introduce 'SEATouch,' a solution that allows for easy visualization of the current locations of doctors and nurses.

- sXGP-Enabled Smartphone 'Xperia 10 VII'
Capable of clear voice calls with minimal interference, serving as a replacement for private PHS. Featuring a tough, water- and shock-resistant design and long-lasting 'two-day' battery, it serves various purposes beyond calls, including viewing electronic medical records and running business applications. Demonstrations connected to medical devices will be available.

- Smartphone Intercom App 'Callsign' and Optional App 'Callsign &'
'Callsign' is an intercom app that allows smartphones to be used as professional-grade intercoms or transceivers. It enables simultaneous communication among many users without range limitations. Eliminating the need for specialized hardware and licensing, it facilitates easier improvement of onsite operational efficiency. Combined with the 'Callsign &' optional app (scheduled for late May), it enables automatic transcription of intercom conversations and chat functionality for information sharing in environments where vocal communication is difficult.

- Seat Management Solution 'SEATouch'
'SEATouch' is a seat management solution leveraging contactless IC card technology, FeliCa. By touching a smartphone to dedicated cards installed throughout the hospital, users can easily visualize the current locations of doctors and nurses. It can also be utilized for student attendance tracking in medical schools and managing reservations and usage status of equipment in hospitals.
