Japan Technology Solutions Inc. (Headquarters: Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Koji Okada) and Anfaku Inc. (Headquarters: Osaka Prefecture, Representative Director: Hideyuki Shimauchi) have formed a partnership and will begin offering a new talent development program for companies.
Through this partnership, we will jointly develop and deploy a "Learning Experience Program" that visualizes the thoughts and philosophies of management, which are the foundation of a company, and promotes the retention and growth of young talent, especially next-generation ace candidates.
## Background and Challenges
According to a survey by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the turnover rate within three years for new university graduates is 33.8%. The current situation, where approximately one-third of the talent that companies invest significant cost and time to recruit leaves within a short period, represents a major loss for corporate management. One of the factors contributing to this turnover is the "reality gap" (a discrepancy in perceptions before and after joining the company). In many cases, joining a company with insufficient understanding leads to a divergence from actual work and organizational culture, resulting in early turnover.
## Aim of Program Development
To address this issue, both companies developed this program as a new approach to deepen essential corporate understanding, based on the hypothesis that "'not knowing' creates gaps." Special attention was paid not only to the present state of the company but also to its "history" and "accumulation of decision-making." Many new employees work without knowing what crises or turning points their company overcame to reach its current state. As a result, their understanding of corporate values and judgment criteria is shallow, making them susceptible to the reality gap.
## Features of the Learning Experience Program
In this program, six videos are produced on the themes of past critical junctures and decision-making within companies, and a simulated "company research" is conducted using these videos. The videos include objective explanations from external experts, such as university professors, to promote deeper understanding.
- Articulation and structuring of management's thoughts and philosophies
- Case studies of actual management decisions and crises
- Objective presentation of reality, including failures, not just success stories
This provides a learning experience that allows participants to understand corporate values as "their own," rather than merely inputting knowledge.
## Expected Effects
Through this program, the following effects are anticipated:
- Prevention of early turnover by mitigating the reality gap
- Increased engagement through empathy with management philosophy
- Promotion of proactive growth for next-generation leader candidates
## Future Developments
Combining Japan Technology Solutions Inc.'s on-site problem-solving capabilities with Anfaku Inc.'s talent development and program design expertise, we will expand this program to various companies, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, and training.
