SoftBank Robotics Corp. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Fumihide Tomizawa; hereinafter "SoftBank Robotics") has launched three new products (Whiz P, Whiz B, Whiz V) in its "Whiz" series of commercial cleaning robots, achieving a full lineup with development, design, and quality control by Japanese companies. Whiz P and Whiz B are available for sale starting today, and pre-orders for Whiz V have begun.
Since launching the commercial cleaning robot "Whiz" in 2019, SoftBank Robotics has shipped over 40,000 "Whiz" series units worldwide, leading the market by securing the top share among domestic manufacturers in the commercial cleaning robot market for three consecutive years (*1) and ranking No. 1 globally in commercial indoor service robot sales (*2). As the market matures, customer needs have diversified, and overseas products have also entered distribution.
Amidst this, the Japanese government compiled its AI Robotics Strategy in March 2026, outlining a policy to elevate the AI and robotics industry into a new core industry for Japan to address the structural labor shortages accompanying the declining birthrate and aging population. In response to these trends, SoftBank Robotics is introducing three new products into its "Whiz" series, which it develops, designs, and quality-controls, to meet a wide range of needs.
The strength of our robots lies in meeting multi-stage strict quality control standards, from the production line to pre-shipment inspections, based on extensive operational experience in the field. Furthermore, the "Whiz" series integrates with "SBX Connect," our facility management AI platform, to achieve automated facility management by accumulating and utilizing various data such as operational status. Since this data is managed in Japan (*3), it ensures a high level of security from an economic security perspective.
Moving forward, SoftBank Robotics will continue to support the resolution of cleaning operational challenges through the "Whiz" series, contributing to increased productivity for more customers.
