Iwamizawa City, Hokkaido (Mayor: Satoshi Matsuno, hereinafter "Iwamizawa City") and Stellar Green Co., Ltd. Through this partnership agreement, Iwamizawa City and Stellar Green will work towards realizing carbon neutrality and sustainable town development by visualizing and valuing the forest resources in Iwamizawa City. In the future, they plan to engage in a wide range of activities, including the creation of forest carbon credits and the utilization of regional resources.

Background of the Partnership Agreement Signing
Iwamizawa City has set "A comfortable and livable town in harmony with nature" as its basic goal in the "6th Iwamizawa City Comprehensive Plan." Furthermore, the "Iwamizawa City Global Warming Prevention Action Plan (Regional Policy Edition)" formulated in 2023, in alignment with this basic goal, defines "A comfortable town realized through decarbonization, Iwamizawa" as its future vision.
Towards building a decarbonized society, the city is promoting both GX (Green Transformation), a green strategy centered on carbon neutrality, and DX (Digital Transformation), which enhances the convenience of social life by utilizing digital technology. Through these efforts, the city aims to achieve a virtuous cycle of environment and economy, promoting multifaceted initiatives such as further advancing smart agriculture, which Iwamizawa City is pioneering, town development that leverages regional characteristics, forest conservation, and carbon sink measures.
Against this backdrop, Iwamizawa City has signed this partnership agreement with Stellar Green, which possesses expertise and a track record in carbon neutrality, to achieve the realization of a "Zero Carbon City."
