Snowflake has entered into a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of enterprise AI agents, enabling joint customers worldwide to build and deploy AI applications more quickly and securely. Snowflake will invest up to $6 billion over the next five years in AWS Graviton compute and AI infrastructure. Snowflake CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy emphasized that in the era of AI agents, reasoning based on trusted data is critical for business decision-making. AWS CEO Matt Garman noted that this investment will enhance performance for data warehousing and AI workloads. Furthermore, Snowflake Cortex AI integrates Amazon Bedrock foundation models, allowing customers to build AI applications securely within their Snowflake environment. With cumulative sales through AWS Marketplace exceeding $7 billion, the companies will continue to drive AI adoption through joint initiatives.
