[Free Admission] Fukuoka International Student Award 2026: Two High School Groups Selected to Present

The non-profit organization International Education Support Organization Smiley Flowers (Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City / Representative Director: Hironobu Kubota) has announced the finalized high school groups participating in the 'Fukuoka International Student Award 2026' to be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Acros Fukuoka 7th Floor Conference Room (Doors open 12:30, event starts 13:30).

This award aims to recognize student organizations and seminars within Fukuoka Prefecture that are active with an 'international' theme, fostering the next generation of global talent. A total of 7 groups, including high school and university circles, seminars, and student groups from across Fukuoka Prefecture, will present their activities on the day of the award.

1. Introduction of Presenting Groups
The groups presenting in the high school section of the award are as follows:

Seinan Gakuin University: "Seinan Gakuin University International Dormitory RA"
They serve as Resident Assistants (RAs) at the international dormitory, supporting both international and Japanese students. Living with international students from various countries allows for daily international exchange. The charm lies in the environment where one can experience diverse cultures and values while still being in Fukuoka. They also hold seasonal events like beach volleyball tournaments, Halloween parties, and Christmas parties every year.

On your mark (Fukuoka University International Team)
A volunteer group registered under this name, derived from the initials of the Fukuoka University International Team. They provide academic and living support to international students, including undergraduate, graduate, and exchange students living at Fukuoka University. Within this group, FIT CORE was formed on November 11, 2024, as a core team that plans and operates international exchange events, and currently consists of 14 members.

On the day, university students will give 8-minute presentations, and the 'Most Resonated International Activity Group' will be decided by votes from attendees and judges.

2. Event Overview and Attendee Recruitment
We are recruiting attendees for the day of the award from among high school students, university students, and members of the public free of charge.
