SmartHR Inc., headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, with Masato Serizawa as CEO, released the "Favorites" feature for its app store service, SmartHR Plus, on April 9, 2026. This feature enables users to save apps they are interested in on the store. The development was driven by user feedback indicating challenges in identifying suitable applications and managing comparison information within the 80 applications currently available on SmartHR Plus (as of April 2026). The "Favorites" feature is designed to streamline the B2B app selection process, which often involves multiple stakeholders and steps like organizing candidates and sharing comparisons. It provides functionalities such as unlimited saving of apps for future consideration or proposal, and automatic notifications for campaign and update information related to favorited apps. Hideaki Iseki, Business Manager of SmartHR Plus, stated that this feature is the first step towards making SmartHR Plus a comprehensive platform for app selection, with future plans including category-based comparisons and compatibility checks. SmartHR, the company's flagship cloud HR/labor management software, holds the No.1 market share for seven consecutive years in labor management cloud services, according to Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu MIC Research Institute's 2024 fiscal year report. SmartHR aims to enhance corporate productivity and foster worker-friendly environments.
