The Smart Life Association (organizer) and Smart Gut Co., Ltd. (sponsor) will host an online seminar on April 25, 2026 (Saturday), featuring Professor Yuji Naito of Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Graduate School of Medical Science, Department of Bio-Immuno-Nutrition, a leading authority in gut bacteria research, as a lecturer. The seminar's theme is "Does Hay Fever Start in the Gut?"
This seminar will focus on the relationship between "gut bacteria" and "chronic inflammation," which has garnered significant attention in recent years, unraveling the mechanisms of allergies and unexplained ailments through the latest research.
Furthermore, it will cover practical approaches that can be immediately applied in medical, beauty, and wellness settings.
Why "Gut Environment" and "Chronic Inflammation" Now? (Background of the Event)
The number of people suffering from chronic ailments such as increasingly severe hay fever symptoms, recurring skin problems, and persistent fatigue is rapidly increasing. While these may seem like separate issues, recent research suggests that "chronic inflammation" and "disruption of the gut microbiota" may underlie these conditions.
"Gut bacteria" are deeply involved in our immune function and inflammatory balance.
It has become scientifically clear how their state affects overall body health. This seminar provides a valuable opportunity to understand the root causes of ailments from the perspective of "gut microbiota" and learn practical improvement approaches that can be applied in daily life and professional settings.
