About the "Ideal Self Award" Event

Shoko Chukin Bank (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Masahiro Sekine, hereinafter "Shoko Chukin") held the "Ideal Self Award" on March 10, 2026, as the culmination of its company-wide "Purpose Workshop." This award aims to solicit ideas from all employees that contribute to solving customer issues and corporate transformation, under the theme of "Let's be the protagonists of change," towards realizing Shoko Chukin's PURPOSE "Supporting the future of companies. Making Japan resilient to change," which was established as the bank faces a major turning point with privatization. It recognizes excellent initiatives. Since establishing its "PURPOSE・MISSION" in 2022, Shoko Chukin has continuously conducted purpose workshops to ensure that all executives and employees connect it to their daily work, rather than leaving it as a mere philosophy. This award is positioned as a venue to propose the results as concrete actions and plans, leading to future implementation. On the day of the event, selected teams from across the country presented proposals with a view to practical implementation, from the perspectives of "how to contribute to solving customer issues" and "how to enhance Shoko Chukin's organizational value." The ideas selected at this award will be linked to the "Long-Term Strategy and Transformation Plan - Gathering, Connecting, and Creating Value: SME Economic Zone -" announced on March 6, 2026, and will be sequentially utilized in future corporate transformation initiatives. Shoko Chukin aims to realize its PURPOSE through the expansion and revitalization of the SME economic zone, and will continue to promote transformation into an organization that thinks, creates, and changes together with its customers.
