The agreement concerns Carbomer, a water-soluble thickener and gelling agent manufactured by Hannong Chemicals Inc. (Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, Korea; hereinafter 'Hannong Chemicals'), and targets the pharmaceutical excipients market in China.

Purpose of the Agreement

This LOI confirms the basic conditions toward concluding an exclusive distribution agreement for Carbomer, which is currently sold mainly as a cosmetic raw material, to expand its application into the Chinese domestic pharmaceutical excipients market (for uses compliant with pharmaceutical excipient standards).

Future Developments

Moving forward, Shoko and Hannong Chemicals will proceed with discussions regarding details such as compliance with relevant laws and regulations in China, quality and supply systems, and commercial terms, aiming to conclude the final agreement.

Concurrently, we will advance the registration of the Drug Master File (DMF) required for the sale of pharmaceutical excipients in China (scheduled around summer 2026). We will also actively cultivate sales channels within China so that sales can commence immediately upon DMF registration.
