Geidai Art Plaza, a gallery operated jointly by Shogakukan and Tokyo University of the Arts, will hold the special exhibition "THE ART OF TEA" starting Saturday, June 20, 2026. The exhibition will feature and sell works by 18 artists affiliated with the university, all centered on the aesthetic principles of "cha-no-yu" (the Japanese tea ceremony). The entire gallery will be treated as a single "tokonoma" (alcove), inviting visitors to experience the relationship between space, artwork, and the viewer through a mix of 2D and 3D pieces. Admission is free.
