Shiroiya Hotel, an art destination in Maebashi, Gunma (Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, General Manager: Daiki Horiguchi), is delighted to welcome Miyako Enmeiji, owner-pastry chef of 'EMME' in Aoyama, Tokyo, and winner of the Best Pastry Chef award at the world-renowned culinary guide 'Gault&Millau 2023'. She will collaborate with Hiroshi Katayama, Head Chef of the hotel's main dining venue 'Shiroiya The Restaurant', for a one-night-only luxurious dinner experience.
Guests will enjoy Katayama's 'Jōshū Cuisine', deeply rooted in the bountiful nature of Gunma, alongside Enmeiji's memorable 'Assiette Dessert'—a plated dessert crafted live before guests—showcasing her masterful ingredient pairings. This collaboration between two chefs regularly featured in 'Gault&Millau' offers a unique, unrepeatable experience available only at this time and place, enjoyed in a vibrant open-kitchen setting.

Miyako Enmeiji
Born in Kyoto Prefecture. After training at 'Frédéric Cassel' in Fontainebleau, France, and various patisseries and restaurants in Tokyo, she served as Chef Pâtissier at 'T'SUKI Sur La Mer' and the Michelin one-star 'LATURE'. In September 2019, she co-founded 'EMME', an assiette dessert specialty shop in Aoyama, Tokyo, with sommelier Shinichi Enmeiji. She was named Best Pastry Chef in the March 15, 2023 edition of 'Gault&Millau 2023'. She has been invited to events at Ginza Mitsukoshi and Shinjuku Isetan, and has appeared on NHK's 'Bi no Tsubo'.

Born in Gunma Prefecture. Began his career at 'Imperial Hotel', trained at renowned restaurants in France and Tokyo, and opened a restaurant in his hometown of Gunma. He later joined the Shiroiya Hotel project, further honing his skills at top restaurants domestically and internationally, and was appointed Head Chef of Shiroiya Hotel, overseeing the main dining and F&B facilities. He advocates 'Jōshū Cuisine', a reimagined local cuisine that creatively utilizes Gunma's ingredients.

The main dining venue of Shiroiya Hotel, featured in the world-renowned gourmet guide 'Gault&Millau' for five consecutive years. Chef Hiroshi Katayama presents innovative French cuisine—'Jōshū Cuisine'—inspired by traditional local dishes and generously incorporating seasonal ingredients from Gunma's rich natural environment.
The open kitchen setup allows guests to watch dishes being prepared in real time and engage in conversation with the chefs.
