Shinjuku Ekimae Clinic Launches Online Mounjaro Consultations for Experienced Users, With No Consultation, Shipping, or System Fees

Shinjuku Ekimae Clinic Dermatology, Internal Medicine and Urology, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo and led by Director Rintaro Hasuike, has launched online consultations for Mounjaro, the brand name for tirzepatide. The service is limited to patients who have previously used Mounjaro, including those treated at other clinics, and provides walk-in online consultations via LINE video calls without requiring reservations. The clinic says the service was created in response to patients who said they could not continue treatment because of high costs or had difficulty finding time to visit a clinic. The pricing model charges only for the medication, with consultation fees, shipping fees, and system usage fees all set at zero. A one-month supply of Mounjaro 2.5 mg, consisting of four pens, costs 16,000 yen including tax. The 5.0 mg dose costs 28,000 yen, the 7.5 mg dose costs 36,000 yen, and the 10.0 mg dose costs 44,000 yen. The clinic also states that it promises not to raise prices in the future. Consultations are conducted through LINE video calls, allowing patients to receive care during spare moments without downloading a new app. The clinic notes that the lower operational burden of this setup is one factor that helps keep prices low. The Mounjaro used by the clinic consists only of genuine products distributed through authorized pharmaceutical wholesalers in Japan. The clinic does not handle personally imported or counterfeit products. Medications are stored under strict refrigeration at the clinic and shipped on the next business day after consultation via Japan Post’s chilled Yu-Pack service. Payment is accepted only by cash on delivery, eliminating the need to enter credit card information and reducing security risks. Eligibility for online prescriptions is restricted to patients who have already used Mounjaro. First-time users are eligible only for in-person consultations. For 2.5 mg and 5.0 mg, patients must have a BMI of at least 18.5. For 7.5 mg and 10.0 mg, patients must have a BMI of at least 22.
