"Honpa," a reading experience event designed for both avid readers and those who find it hard to make time for reading, will start this summer. Singer-songwriter Soushi Sakiyama, whose new album "good life, good people," released in April and his first in two years and eight months, is generating buzz, will perform at the "Honpa" opening event held on August 8, 2026 (Sat.) at Kinokuniya Bookstore Shinjuku Main Store!

Soushi Sakiyama Profile

A singer-songwriter born in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture in 2002.

He gained attention after appearing on an internet program in May 2018, and the following summer, he performed at numerous large festivals while still in high school. Subsequently, he has worked on popular projects including ending themes for popular TV anime. His 2023 release "Akari" became popular both domestically and internationally, surpassing 100 million total streams. He is currently serializing "Soushi Sakiyama's Encounter with the Unknown" in "Guitar Magazine." His column "Suddenly, Connected to a New World," which was serialized in Shincho's literary magazine "Nami," has been published as a book, drawing attention from the literary world with his unique linguistic expression. In April '26, he released his first full album in two years and eight months, "good life, good people."
