Shimamura Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Omiya-ku, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director: Iiichiro Takahashi) will conduct a 'Clothing Collection' campaign from Monday, April 6, to Sunday, April 19, at all Shimamura Group stores (Shimamura, Avail, Birthday, Chambre, and Divalo), excluding stores on remote islands.

Since the program began at select stores in 2024, over 210 tons of clothing have been collected. This latest expansion increases the number of participating stores to allow more customers to take part.

Purpose of Clothing Collection The Shimamura Group has designated 'continuation and evolution of zero product waste' as a key ESG priority. While the company already maintains a 'Zero Waste' policy for its own inventory (ensuring no surplus stock is discarded), this initiative extends that goal to items no longer needed by customers after purchase.

About 'Shima-Eco' Shimamura has branded its environmental sustainability efforts as 'Shima-Eco' and introduced a dedicated logo. The initiative encompasses various eco-friendly activities, including waste reduction, resource reuse, and the development of environmentally conscious products.
