"SWALOCCA" Adopted for Promenade Space in Sunport Takamatsu Area

In the promenade development of the Sunport Takamatsu area promoted by Kagawa Prefecture, block benches from our group company Shikoku Kasei Kenzai Co., Ltd.'s exterior brand "SWALOCCA" have been adopted. These products have been installed in the Sunport Garden Promenade and the Prefectural Arena surrounding promenade since March this year.

The "SWALOCCA" installed this time is a street furniture that allows individuals or multiple people to sit or chat, creating a comfortable space where people can relax while enjoying breaks and meals. Even in the station-front area with high foot traffic, its simple yet versatile design, which blends in with the surrounding landscape, contributes to creating an open atmosphere characteristic of the Setouchi region.

Furthermore, the materials used include Kagawa Prefecture cypress, demonstrating consideration for creating a warm space utilizing local resources. It is envisioned not only as a daily resting place but also as a gathering and interaction space during events.

"SWALOCCA," which transforms a "passing-through place" into a "resting place," will continue to enrich the interactions of people in the city and provide new spatial value that fosters attachment to the place.
