Our company supports April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release is the dream of "168 (Iroha) Juku," an online cram school operated by shared Inc. (Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture).

The society we envision is one where each individual has their own goals and can proactively work towards their realization. Not because others do it, or because someone told them to, but striving towards goals they have set themselves. Enjoying daily learning and challenges while feeling their own growth. If such a state becomes commonplace, people will surely be able to live with more excitement.

However, in reality, many elementary, junior high, and high school students, both in rural areas and in metropolitan areas, struggle with "not knowing what to aim for" or "finding it difficult to continue studying or challenging themselves." We believe that behind these challenges lies a lack of a "mechanism to keep moving towards goals."

■ About 168 (Iroha) Juku

168 Juku is an online cram school launched by three members from Tohoku University. Our goal is not just to pass entrance exams, but to establish a lifelong "self-management ability to pursue goals." Specifically, we provide learning support that accompanies students from goal setting to daily actions and reflection. Through our independently developed app, students can share their learning and life situations with their assigned instructor 24 hours a day and consult or ask questions at any time.

The inspiration for starting the company came from the insights gained by Representative Ryotaro Namba while teaching over 100 students as a private tutor and cram school instructor during his student days. He noticed that even with the same instruction, some students' grades improved while others did not. He realized that the reason lay in their home study and lifestyle habits. No matter how diligently he instructed, with the previous style, he could only be involved with students for about 2% of their time in a week.

If we are going to accompany them, we want to be thoroughly close to them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We want to be involved in how they spend their 24 hours x 7 days = 168 hours and achieve results.

That is the origin of 168 Juku and the 168 (Iroha) Method, which accompanies students in their lives themselves. Setting one's own goals, making plans, executing them, and reflecting. We believe that this experience, beyond improving grades and passing university entrance exams, will be a lifelong strength that supports one's life.

If children could naturally "have their own goals and strive towards them" from an early stage... surely society would see more people challenging themselves, more people talking about their dreams, and more people living with anticipation for the future.

Creating a society where living with excitement is normal.

That is our mission and the dream we want to declare.
