Verifying Infrastructure Inspection and Disaster Response with Real Equipment and Collected Data

The seminar will demonstrate industrial drones and related equipment for use in inspecting bridges, building exteriors, and elevated facilities, as well as for search and situation assessment at disaster sites.

The 'DJI MATRICE 400' to be demonstrated is an industrial flagship drone capable of up to 59 minutes of flight time and a maximum payload of 6 kg. It supports obstacle detection and can be equipped with various cameras and accessories tailored to applications such as inspection, surveying, search and rescue, and disaster response.

The DJI Matrice 400 will be equipped with the 'DJI ZENMUSE H30T (Zenmuse H30T)', a multi-sensor camera integrating a wide-angle camera, zoom camera, infrared thermal camera, laser rangefinder, and NIR auxiliary light. This setup allows participants to evaluate performance for remote equipment inspection, thermal anomaly detection, and search/situation assessment in nighttime or low-light environments.

In addition, the compact and portable industrial drone 'DJI MATRICE 4T', along with the 'DJI ZENMUSE V1' speaker for communication at disaster sites and the 'DJI ZENMUSE S1' spotlight for nighttime search and inspection support, will also be introduced.

Beyond flight demonstrations, the seminar will also cover the review and analysis of collected visible light and thermal image data, providing a detailed explanation of the workflow from image capture to data utilization.

Feedback from Past Seminar Participants

Fire Department Headquarters:

'We gained a clear understanding of how thermal cameras can be used to locate people in need of rescue. This gave us a concrete idea of how we could use drones if we adopted them. Very informative.'

Electric Power Company:

'We were impressed by the zoom performance and image clarity when inspecting elevated equipment. We believe drones can effectively replace manual inspections and would like to proceed with adoption considerations.'

Equipment Inspection Company:

'We were previously at the consideration stage, but after seeing the actual drone performance, we are now more positively inclined toward adoption. The high accuracy of the thermal camera, in particular, seems promising for improving operational efficiency.'

Municipality:

'We found this to be highly effective for initial disaster response. We would like to consider it as one measure to strengthen our disaster preparedness system.'

Recommended for Companies Facing These Challenges:

- Want to safely inspect hard-to-reach or elevated locations

- Want to inspect equipment or building exteriors without scaffolding

- Aim to improve efficiency and reduce manpower in infrastructure inspections

- Considering inspections using thermal or zoom cameras

- Want to strengthen situation assessment and search capabilities during disasters

- Want to evaluate actual drones and collected data to select the right model for adoption

- Want to consult specifically on implementation costs and subsidies
