Seven-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Tomohiro Akutsu) will sequentially launch its new hot food counter item, 'Horse Mackerel Fillet,' at 7-Eleven stores nationwide starting June 9 (Tue).

Focusing on 'Meaji' (jack mackerel) ideal for frying, we ensured freshness by flash-freezing the fish after capture and meticulously deboning each piece by hand. We are expanding our assortment with authentic fish-based side dishes to provide new options for our customers.

Key features include the use of meaty Meaji, which is ideal for frying. Combined with a crispy coating, it delivers a light yet satisfying flavor.

Commitment to freshness Meaji are flash-frozen immediately after capture to ensure freshness. Each fish is carefully deboned by hand, making it safe and easy to eat for everyone from children to seniors.

Comment from the person in charge While fried chicken and other meat items are staples at our hot food counter, this product was developed in response to customer requests for fish-based items. By adding 'Aji-fry,' which pairs easily with Japanese meals, we aim to make it a convenient addition to the everyday dining table. Please enjoy it as a side dish, with drinks, or whenever you need a quick bite.
