7-Eleven Japan Co., Ltd. sponsored the 'Iitomo Aichi Local Production for Local Consumption Recipe Contest' hosted by Aichi Prefecture and commercialized the 'Chicken Tempura and Shiso Leaf Omusubi' created by students from Nagoya University of Arts and Sciences, who won the '7-Eleven Special Award.' A total of seven items using Aichi-grown shiso leaves, including the winning recipe, will be released sequentially at 7-Eleven stores in Aichi, Gifu, and Mie prefectures starting June 9. 7-Eleven is committed to 'local production for local consumption' by actively utilizing regional ingredients, and this project is an industry-academia collaboration involving Aichi Prefecture, local universities, and 7-Eleven. The lineup includes 'Sesame Oil Scented Chicken Tempura and Shiso Leaf Omusubi,' as well as chilled udon, pasta, salads, and water dumplings, all featuring the refreshing flavor of shiso leaves.
