Seitosha Inc. (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Wakagi Kazuki) is pleased to announce that their newly released book "Shinban Torinotrivia: Secrets of Wild Birds 100" has been so well-received that it has gone into reprint just one week after its release on July 6.
What is "Torinotrivia"?
This book introduces the "unexpected sides" of familiar wild birds like sparrows, crows, tits, bush warblers, and pigeons through 4-panel manga and text in a lively manner.
The book has sparked a big topic with comments like "It's so interesting," "I got so absorbed in reading that I forgot the time," and "I didn't know any of these facts, and it has enriched my life." It has become a big hit with over 70,000 copies sold.

The book is supervised and written by Kazuto Kawakami, an ornithologist known for his works such as "Just because I'm an ornithologist, don't think I like birds." (Shinchosha).
The 4-panel manga is drawn by Yuuka Matsuda, a manga artist who has worked on many manga featuring birds and animals as motifs, such as "Jibetagurashi" (Libre Publishing) and "Kyou no Su" (Futabasha).
Other contributors include Katsura Miue and Takayoshi Kawashima.
Renewed after 8 years! "Shinban Torinotrivia" is born
"Torinotrivia," which depicted the unknown ecology of familiar birds in a humorous way and sparked a big topic, has been reborn as "Shinban Torinotrivia" with the addition of 17 new trivia that have been discovered in the past 8 years of wild bird research, while maintaining the humor and sharpness of the manga and text.
The book has increased in thickness and width, making it more substantial. The number of trivia featured has been rounded up to exactly 100. Additionally, it has evolved to be easier to read for both adults and children, with furigana added to non-common kanji and specialized terms.
