Japanese English education has long required students to acquire an 'English brain,' which means thinking in English.

However, the author, a former diplomat and Prime Minister's interpreter, argues that an 'English brain' is unnecessary. He has personally demonstrated that any Japanese person can master English by skillfully utilizing their 'Japanese brain.'

Despite having no study abroad experience and being poor at English, the author improved his English using his own 'know-how to acquire foreign languages in a short period' after joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Now active as an international business consultant, he reveals his shortest and fastest English rapid-learning method tailored for Japanese people.
