To realize a "Zero Emission Tokyo by 2050," the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is promoting various measures to improve energy efficiency and decarbonize buildings, which account for over 70% of CO2 emissions in the metropolis. As a measure primarily targeting new housing, the government implements the "Building Environmental Report System," which mandates that major house manufacturers and others ensure insulation and energy-saving performance and install solar power generation equipment.
We are now accepting applications for "Tokyo Eco Builders," which includes not only businesses subject to the reporting system but also those working to popularize new homes with high environmental performance. By collaborating with these businesses to disseminate information, we will expand opportunities to promote high-environmental-performance housing.
Furthermore, businesses implementing particularly effective initiatives will be presented with the "Tokyo Eco Builders Award: Leading Company Prize." We will promote these companies to Tokyo residents through tie-ups with public awareness content produced by the Metropolitan Government.
We look forward to receiving applications from businesses for the Tokyo Eco Builders program and the Tokyo Eco Builders Award to promote your company and your high-environmental-performance housing.
