Applications Open for Reiwa 8 "Tokyo Eco Builders" and "Tokyo Eco Builders Award"!

To achieve "2050 Zero Emission Tokyo," the Tokyo Metropolitan Government is promoting various measures to improve energy efficiency and decarbonize buildings, which account for over 70% of CO2 emissions in the prefecture. Primarily for new housing, the "Building Environmental Report System" is in place, mandating major house builders and others to ensure insulation and energy-saving performance and install solar power generation equipment. Now, in addition to businesses subject to the report system, we are newly recruiting businesses that promote the spread of environmentally friendly new housing as "Tokyo Eco Builders." Through collaborative information dissemination with businesses, we will expand the opportunities to promote housing with high environmental performance. Furthermore, businesses implementing particularly effective initiatives will be awarded the "Tokyo Eco Builders Award Leading Company Prize" and will be promoted to Tokyo residents through collaborations in awareness and educational content produced by the prefecture. We look forward to applications from businesses for Tokyo Eco Builders and the Tokyo Eco Builders Award to promote environmentally friendly housing and your company. ■Tokyo Eco Builders Registration Requirements ① Must have a track record of supplying new buildings (hereinafter referred to as "Target Properties") with a total floor area of less than 2,000㎡ for which a building confirmation certificate was issued between April Reiwa 7 and the end of March Reiwa 8. ② Target Properties must comply with the standards set by the Building Environmental Report System. ※For businesses not subject to the system, compliance with insulation and energy-saving performance standards and renewable energy installation standards is sufficient.

Tokyo Eco Builders Award Leading Company Prize Among registered "Tokyo Eco Builders," businesses implementing effective initiatives for building decarbonization will be recognized.
