Seiki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto), which operates educational businesses centered on cram schools, runs the next-generation after-school program “GKC (Global Kids Club) Karasuma Nijo”. GKC Karasuma Nijo participated in the “Roboccha Japan Cup 2025” robot competition. Amidst 80 selected teams from across the country, **all five teams from our school advanced through the preliminaries to the final tournament**, achieving an exceptionally high level of performance.

Furthermore, the “Poster Award”, presented to the team with the most outstanding research presentation among all participating teams, was awarded to our 4th-grade elementary school team, “Fujibakama”.
What is “Roboccha® Japan Cup 2025”?
“Roboccha” is a competition that recreates the paralympic sport “Boccia” using robots. It requires not only moving robots but also “high strategic thinking” to analyze the constantly changing court situation and place balls several moves ahead, as well as “precise operating skills” to accurately throw to the target location.
This tournament is a **“generation-neutral” national competition where elementary school students to high school students, as well as vocational school students, university students, and working adults, compete under the same rules**. In this year’s final, a high school physics club competed against an elementary 4th-grade team, and the elementary 4th-graders, through their intellect, claimed victory. It is truly an intellectual combat sport where age and physical differences can be overcome by “skill” and “strategy”.
In such a serious competition where strong contenders gather, the elementary school students participating from GKC Karasuma Nijo achieved a remarkable leap, matching older generations!

★ Poster Award Winner: Team “Fujibakama” (3 elementary 4th-grade students)
The achievement of logically articulating the robot’s structure and strategy was evaluated as the best among all 80 teams.
The Value of the Competition: A Serious Battle of “Strategy” Beyond Age Barriers
This tournament is a high-level competition where elementary and high school students compete on the same playing field. In this year’s final, a high school physics club competed against an elementary 4th-grade team, with the elementary 4th-graders claiming victory. Many exciting scenes were observed where age and physical differences were overcome by “skill” and “strategy.” Such serious competition strongly stimulates children’s intellectual curiosity and desire for improvement.
Why the Results: The “Quality of Preparation” and “Learning Attitude” Supporting Victory
Behind the remarkable achievements of GKC’s children was a thorough “preparation process” that went beyond mere skill acquisition.
Thorough trial and error and special training: Identifying issues with coaches and repeatedly adjusting mechanisms.
Strategic design to read the game: Thorough simulation to predict opponent moves and make situation-appropriate judgments.
Cultivation of teamwork: Mental growth to trust each other in high-pressure situations and tackle challenges with unified minds.
The children embodied a professional attitude of “everything depends on how thoroughly you prepare” through their actions.

Educational Value: Nurturing “Non-Cognitive Skills” Beyond Wins and Losses
Through this challenge, the children not only gained results in wins and losses but also developed lifelong non-cognitive skills such as logical thinking, collaborative abilities, and “confidence to perform well on a big stage.” How should one approach a big goal daily? This educational environment, which emphasizes the process, led to all teams advancing through the preliminaries this time.
