Seifukan Gakuin High School (hereinafter referred to as Seifukan), a correspondence support school (Main Campus: Akashi City, Hyogo; Representative: Taisei Okauchi), opened its second campus, "Ashiya Campus," in Ashiya City, Hyogo, on April 3, 2026.

Seifukan's student body has grown to 350 in just three years since the opening of its Akashi Main Campus, which itself has significantly expanded from one floor to the current three. To meet the growing demand for admission while creating a learning environment where all students can feel secure and cultivate their individuality, the decision was made to open the Ashiya Campus.

Together with the Akashi Main Campus, the Ashiya Campus aims to become a new hub of learning to deliver Seifukan's unique education to more young people.

Introduction to Ashiya Campus Facilities

The Ashiya Campus was designed with an emphasis on creating a safe and secure learning environment for students. Aiming for a space where each student can relax as if it were their "second home," it features the following:

・A "homey, welcoming" study space

The warm colors and designs, chosen primarily by current students from the Akashi Main Campus, create a comfortable, home-like atmosphere where students can calmly focus on their studies and interact with others.

  • A meeting space that fosters active communication

To encourage lively discussions during group work such as PBL (Project-Based Learning), the layout includes tables that can be surrounded by multiple people, promoting natural dialogue and cooperation among students.

  • 1-on-1 rooms that respect privacy

The campus is fully equipped with dedicated private rooms for "weekly 1-on-1s" (individual meetings between teachers and students), a cornerstone of Seifukan's education. This provides a safe environment where students can discuss their academic progress, future paths, and daily worries with teachers without concern for being overheard.

  • A free space for students to spend time as they wish

This is a place where students naturally gather between classes or after school. Here, they can deepen relationships across grade levels, work on projects together, engage in casual conversation, and spend their time freely.

A Comment from Ashiya Campus Head Yamamoto

Based on our three years of success at the Akashi campus, we have opened the Ashiya campus with the goal of creating a 'new standard in education.' What we value most is creating a place where students can be 'more themselves.'

A unique feature of the Ashiya campus is its two contrasting spaces: a first-floor interaction area where students can naturally connect with peers through board games and PCs, and a second-floor quiet zone with private rooms and study spaces for silent concentration. We have created an environment where students can choose how to spend their time based on their state of mind, rather than always having to push themselves.

Moving forward, we will actively collaborate with the Ashiya community to build a school where students can grow with peace of mind through encounters and experiences with diverse people. We aim to be a 'sanctuary' where students can be themselves without strain, while also being a community-rooted place of learning that can draw out their positive energy when needed.

Initiatives Leading Up to the Ashiya Campus Opening

A Student-Led Ashiya Campus Design Project

The Ashiya Campus was brought to life by current students from the Akashi Main Campus, aiming for a "homey, welcoming campus." As part of their PBL (Project-Based Learning), students formed project teams, learned about spatial design, and consistently managed everything from concept creation and budget management to furniture research, ordering, and on-site assembly. This learning space, with its design and color scheme chosen by the students' own hands, has become a warm and reassuring environment.

First-Term Student Mixer Held at Ashiya Campus

Prior to the opening, a mixer for new students of the 2026 academic year was held at the Ashiya campus on January 30, 2026. The day included self-introduction quizzes and a school briefing by the teachers, as well as a workshop where all new students collaborated to create a single painting. In a warm atmosphere that was enjoyable just by being there, the students deepened their bonds ahead of the opening.

Through the experience of gathering at the new campus and creating a work of art with their own hands, the first-term students were able to feel that the new campus was 'their place.' Participating students voiced their excitement for their new life, making it a vibrant start where they shared the joy of building a new school culture themselves.
