(Headquarters: Kohoku-ku, Yokohama; President: Kazumasa Hara) are pleased to announce that they have concluded a sales contract regarding the site of the Shin-Yokohama Prince PePe, which is scheduled to cease operations in March 2027 (as previously announced by Seibu Real Estate on February 12, 2026). In the Shin-Yokohama area, which boasts "transportation convenience" and a "regional strength" supported by many valuable spots, Seibu Real Estate, a real estate developer, and Macnica, a global company headquartered in the area that continuously implements cutting-edge technology into society, will collaborate to integrate their strengths. By working with the local government and community members, both companies will join forces to conduct experimental initiatives and technology implementations for future society, aiming to create new value for the Shin-Yokohama area as a city of the future. As part of this effort, a "Community Promenade" where everyone can freely come and go and interact is planned to be developed between the site of the Shin-Yokohama Prince Hotel, which is currently considering value-up initiatives, and the site of the new headquarters building that Macnica plans to construct. By leveraging the Seibu Group's know-how in real estate, hotel, and leisure businesses, combined with the world-leading technologies handled by Macnica, we aim to revitalize the Shin-Yokohama area, create a lively atmosphere, and provide new value through events and spaces for interaction.
