SEGA XD (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; CEO: Hidetaka Tani), a company specializing in gamification, will begin accepting entries for the 'Gamification Award 2026' on June 1, 2026, as part of the initiatives of the Gamification Lab. The award aims to recognize and promote outstanding efforts in the field of gamification. Additionally, the 'Gamification Conference QUEST,' one of Japan's largest gamification conferences, will be held concurrently in winter 2026. Launched in 2025, the 'Gamification Award' honors companies and organizations that have implemented excellent gamification strategies. In its second year, the award introduces the 'Gameful Action Award,' which recognizes gameful approaches to solving everyday problems, in addition to the existing 'Best Solution,' 'Future,' and 'Challenge' awards. Furthermore, the award has shifted from a nomination-based system to an open entry system. This change aims to uncover and highlight successful cases that were previously overlooked, such as products or services that naturally engage users even without intentional gamification design, thereby promoting the diverse applications of gamification across various sectors.
