Secure Inc. Significantly Updates Cloud-based Access Control System "SECURE AC Cloud"

As part of its efforts to accelerate retail DX through AI implementation in real spaces, Secure Inc. has achieved integrated management of access logs and recorded video, as well as digitalized guest management. This supports the reduction of operational man-hours and more advanced security operations in stores and offices with multiple locations.

Background

Traditionally, in environments where access control systems and surveillance camera systems were used together, each system operated independently. This required significant effort for verification tasks, such as manually searching for the corresponding time in the camera system after checking the access log time, even in cases of authentication errors or suspected unauthorized entry.

Secure Inc. implemented this update to lower the "hurdle for verification" and achieve "everyday security" that allows anyone to easily grasp the situation.

Main New Features

1. "VS Cloud Linkage Function": One-click video confirmation from logs

Through API linkage with the cloud-based surveillance camera system "SECURE VS Cloud," it is now possible to directly play back video for the corresponding time from access logs.

・ Understand the surrounding situation Not only the moment of authentication but also up to 3,600 seconds (1 hour) of video before and after authentication can be played back. Suspicious movements before and after entry/exit can be confirmed without fail.

・ Multi-site management without servers By linking cloud services, logs and videos from multiple locations can be centrally managed on a browser. The situation can be confirmed from anywhere without having to go to the site.

2. "QR Code Authentication Function": Reduced management man-hours and contactless operation

This enables access control using smartphones, eliminating the need for physical IC cards.

・ Supports batch registration and automatic generation In addition to individual QR code issuance for each user, it supports batch registration and generation via CSV files. Registration work for hundreds of users can be completed in a short time.

・ Guest and external system linkage Pre-sending QR codes to temporary visitors and linking AC Cloud's API with external reservation systems, etc., becomes possible (※), promoting unmanned reception operations.

Specific Use Cases

・ Strict management in server rooms, etc. Immediately confirm with video why an authentication error occurred (operator error or unauthorized person). Even when authentication is successful, operational checks such as whether "tailgating" occurred can be streamlined.

・ Multi-site operation of shared offices and stores Digitizing the handover of keys to staff and users eliminates the risk of card loss. Since no card is required and user permissions can be changed instantly on the cloud, it leads to improved operational efficiency and reduced operating costs for administrators.
