## What is the 'Tasting Workshop' to Enjoy TWSC Award-Winning Bottles?

This workshop allows enthusiasts to discover the taste and charm of award-winning bottles from Asia's largest competition, the 'Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition,' and learn tasting techniques by referencing actual judges' comments and bottle materials. Additionally, professionals from various fields are occasionally invited as guests to share their tasting methods.

This time, we will feature **Whisky & Agave Spirits**. Ten tasting tickets will be distributed, allowing you to freely choose and taste from the lineup.

## Report on the 1st Workshop

The first event was held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 19:00 to 20:30 at the Whisky Culture Institute's seminar room (Shibuya, Tokyo). A total of 56 people participated, from Whisky School regulars to first-time beginners. After an explanation of how to use the tasting notes and the event's purpose by the project manager, everyone sampled a reference whisky, followed by guest Mr. Kurashima's tasting comments. Afterward, participants used their tickets to taste their chosen items. They spent their time freely, some diligently writing tasting comments in their notebooks, while others shared their favorite whiskies and brandies with fellow enthusiasts they met at their tables. Mr. Kurashima visited each table to answer participants' questions about tasting.
