Announcement of Memorandum of Understanding for Business Partnership to Improve Convenience of Travel to Korea

SBJ Bank Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Minoru Namiki, hereinafter "the Bank") is pleased to announce that it has signed a four-party memorandum of understanding for a business partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization (Wonju-si, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, Korea), the Chungbuk Cultural Foundation (Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, Korea), and the Chungnam Culture & Tourism Foundation (Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea) to improve the convenience of tourism in the Chungbuk and Chungnam regions of Korea for Japanese customers.

Main Collaboration Details

(1) Dissemination of tourism information and attractive content for the Chungbuk and Chungnam regions through the "Niccori Japan-Korea Platform*1"

(2) Provision of preferential coupons for airport facilities, hotels, restaurants, and tourist facilities utilizing the "SBJ Travel K Debit*2"

(3) Provision of limited-edition souvenirs, etc., to customers visiting the Chungbuk and Chungnam regions

As the Japanese subsidiary of the Korean financial group, Shinhan Bank, the Bank has provided diverse financial services to customers in Japan. Since its establishment, under the philosophy of being a [Bridge between Japan and Korea], we have been committed to providing products and services aimed at the mutual development of Japan and Korea, such as the "Niccori Japan-Korea Platform" and the Korea-exclusive debit card "SBJ Travel K Debit."

In recent years, while the demand for travel to Korea among Japanese tourists has been expanding from central Seoul to regional cities, a lack of information on regional tourism and inconveniences in transportation and payment have become issues.

Through this business partnership, we will jointly aim to realize a more convenient and comfortable travel experience in Korea. This includes providing the latest tourism information such as local gourmet food and hidden gems in the Chungbuk and Chungnam regions through the "Niccori Japan-Korea Platform," disseminating attractive regional tourism content, offering discounts on baggage storage services at Cheongju International Airport in Korea using the "SBJ Travel K Debit," and providing limited-edition souvenirs to customers visiting the Chungbuk and Chungnam regions.

*1 The "Niccori Korea Platform" is a service for the Bank's account holders that offers special benefits and discounts from Korean-related companies and organizations such as cosmetics, food, duty-free shops, and home appliances.

*2 The "SBJ Travel K Debit" is a Korea-exclusive debit card newly released in January 2026, which allows direct payment from the SBJ Bank account balance within Korea.
