SBI VC Trade Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Tomohiko Kondo; hereinafter 'the Company'), a consolidated subsidiary of SBI Holdings, Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Chairman, President & CEO: Yoshitaka Kitao) engaged in crypto asset exchange, has implemented 'BIMI'*, an authentication technology that displays the company's corporate logo on emails sent to customers, effective Monday, March 30, 2026. By adopting this technology, the Company aims to reduce the number of customers falling victim to phishing scams by allowing them to distinguish between legitimate emails from the Company and spoofed emails based on the presence of the corporate logo.

* BIMI stands for 'Brand Indicators for Message Identification.' It is an email authentication technology that displays a company's brand logo within the mailbox for emails that have passed authentication protocols such as DMARC, as a countermeasure against spoofing. DMARC is an advanced email authentication technology that verifies whether an email was legitimately sent from the domain displayed; BIMI works in conjunction with this to prove the legitimacy of the email.

In recent years, security threats from emails impersonating companies have been on the rise. In particular, tactics involving emails that impersonate financial institutions to lure users to phishing sites are becoming more sophisticated and frequent. It is difficult for customers to deal with these threats on their own, making it an urgent task for companies to implement certain countermeasures from the perspective of customer protection. Previously, the Company has strengthened security measures by making two-factor authentication mandatory as of September 3, 2025, and adding an 'email authentication' method in addition to existing authentication methods.

As part of further security enhancements, the Company has now introduced BIMI, which ensures that only emails sent by the company display its logo in the email service.

With this implementation, the Company's corporate logo will be displayed on official emails sent to customers*, allowing recipients to visually verify the legitimacy of the sender. In addition to aiming to reduce phishing damage, the Company expects that the increased visibility of its emails will make it easier for customers to receive important notices and communications.

There is no burden on customers to perform any new settings for this implementation. The Company will continue to strengthen its security measures to ensure that customers can use its services with peace of mind.

* Applies to BIMI-compatible email clients.
