[SBI Insurance] Sendai Office Expanded to 130-Seat Capacity

SBI Insurance Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Takashi Ono; hereinafter "SBI Insurance") will expand its Sendai office to a capacity of up to 130 seats, an 86% increase from its current size, with operations scheduled to begin in April 2026. With this expansion, the Sendai office will account for approximately 25% of the company's total claims service department (based on seat count), positioning it as a key hub alongside Tokyo and Osaka to further advance the company's business continuity framework.

■ Background and Role of the Sendai Office Expansion

Sendai possesses a geographical advantage that allows for broad coverage of the Tokyo metropolitan area and the eastern Japan region. Additionally, it is a city with excellent educational institutions that produce high-quality talent. Given these regional characteristics, the office has expanded its functions as a vital hub for our claims service system. Due to the recent growth of our business, the existing office faced shortages in seating and training space. We decided on this expansion to achieve both the stable provision of claims services and the improvement of operational quality. Moving forward, we will further enhance its role as a core hub that performs essential functions during both normal times and emergencies.

In addition to increasing the number of seats, this expansion includes the enhancement of large conference rooms, meeting rooms, and shared spaces. This will improve our responsiveness and processing capacity through increased staffing, while also leading to higher employee satisfaction by strengthening training and development functions and fostering better communication among staff. Furthermore, by leveraging its geographical advantage with excellent access to the Tokyo and Kansai regions, we will strengthen our business continuity framework by enhancing our ability to accept support personnel during disasters and providing backup functions in the event of a large-scale disaster at other major hubs.
