General Incorporated Association Smart Building Collaborative Organization Holds Annual Achievement Forum 'SmartBuilding Connect 2026' - From Collaborative Creation Achievements to Next Actions

The General Incorporated Association Smart Building Collaborative Organization (SBCO), founded on April 2, 2025, and comprising 121 diverse member companies and organizations (as of March 2026) across construction, real estate, manufacturing, IT, facility management, services, academia, and public sectors, promoted activities for the popularization of smart buildings in its first year. The 'SmartBuilding Connect 2026' forum, held in a hybrid format at Kayabacho KABUTO ONE HALL, saw 215 on-site and 120 online attendees. The program included an opening by representative directors, achievement presentations from six working groups (Ecosystem, Standardization, Information Gathering, External Collaboration, Promotion, Security), a special guest lecture by Mr. Michitaka Tsuda from IPA on 'Open Data Spaces: SDX×Agentic AI Era's Distributed Data Management,' and three special sessions from member companies (NTT Urban Solutions, JDSC, Ritsumeikan University). A networking event was also held with 150 participants. The forum successfully concluded, fostering discussions on the year's activities and future directions.
