About 'SBC NAIL the NAME'
'SBC NAIL the NAME' is a female team composed of 16 members aged 16 to 24, under the direction of KANU, an internationally active dancer and choreographer.
The members were selected through a six-month audition project titled 'NAIL the NAME,' which attracted over 330 applicants.
This project was launched with the goals of forming a new team for the D.LEAGUE 26-27 SEASON and discovering and nurturing the next generation of female dancers and artists. The team name 'NAIL the NAME' carries the meaning of 'making one's name known,' expressing each member's strong determination to assert their individual value and pioneer a new era. Beyond competing in D.LEAGUE's performance arena, the team will also pursue vocal activities as artists, challenging themselves to create new entertainment that fuses dance, music, and fashion. Their ultimate goal is to become a next-generation trendsetter from Japan that women around the world aspire to emulate.

With their official launch, 'SBC NAIL the NAME' has confirmed their debut live performance on Friday, August 14, 2026. The 16 members, each with unique personalities and exceptional skills, will debut a new performance style blending dance and vocals—something never before seen in D.LEAGUE.

Born December 6, 1999
KANU captivates audiences with his mastery of hit, groove, and power, and his uniquely established dance style. He possesses a one-of-a-kind hip-hop style that fuses old-school techniques honed in the underground scene with new-school elements.
Currently, he choreographs for a wide range of artists, including Korean acts such as NCT DREAM, NCT WISH, and BoA, and Japanese artists such as timelesz, Ryosuke Yamada, Kento Nakajima, and JO1. The choreography created by KANU Crew, known for its visually clear yet complex compositions, has gained strong support on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, attracting enthusiastic attention not only in Japan but also internationally.
Beyond choreography, KANU continues to expand his activities across live performances, television programs, and various media as a choreographer, dancer, and model. Under KANU's creative direction, this new female entertainment team will strive to create unprecedented value.
