Ebisu Garden Place (location: 4-chome, Ebisu, Shibuya-ku) will host "PICNIC CINEMA," an event where visitors can enjoy an open-air picnic and outdoor cinema for free in the city center, from June 5 (Friday) to July 5 (Sunday). The Center Plaza will feature an outdoor cinema with an approximately 300㎡ artificial lawn area and a 280-inch (3.6m high x 6.3m wide) screening screen. Selected films will be screened for free on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights during the period. Last year, the event was a great success, attracting approximately 1,000 visitors per day. The appeal of this event is the new cinema experience where everyone can share the emotion of the movie, crying, laughing, singing, and dancing together while feeling the pleasant night breeze. In conjunction with the outdoor film screenings, popular restaurants from the Ebisu area will appear at the Ebisu Garden Place Clock Plaza. Visitors can enjoy carefully selected Ebisu gourmet food along with the movies.
