Airing on TOKYO MX (Tokyo Metropolitan Television Broadcasting Corporation / Tokyo area: terrestrial channel 9), 'Savanna Takahashi: God of Sauna' (biweekly Saturdays, 6:00–6:30 PM) is a sauna talk show hosted by sauna enthusiast Savanna Takahashi. He invites top figures from various fields into the sauna, and once their minds and bodies are fully 'reset,' he asks them about the pivotal moments in their lives—their 'life turning points.'

Tomorrow's episode, airing June 20 (Saturday), welcomes kabuki actor Shido Nakamura for the second week in a row, broadcast live from Eiyu Bathhouse in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

The episode kicks off with previously unreleased scenes that didn't make it into the first part. During the longest water bath chat in the show's history, Nakamura dives into his current obsession: camping. After this recording, he plans to go on a family trip in a camper van—though he hasn't decided on a destination yet. He reveals his bold, free-spirited camping style: pick a direction, and when you get sleepy, just sleep in the car. He also shares the 'family crisis' that led him to buy the camper van—the stress of packing up a tent with his family.

After achieving mental and physical 'reset' in the sauna, the conversation turns deeply personal. Nakamura recalls telling his father as a child, 'I want to become a kabuki actor.' His father, who retired from kabuki as a child actor, told him, 'I can't help you at all.' Despite this, Nakamura pursued his dream relentlessly. His father never attended his debut or his name succession ceremony, but Nakamura shares a touching memory: 'When I started playing lead roles, he suddenly began showing up. I noticed someone clapping even before the curtain rose and nothing had started yet. I thought, He must really love me—then I realized it was my old man.'

He also opens up about the harsh criticism he faced in the deeply hereditary world of kabuki: 'When I was 19, someone told me straight, 'It'll be difficult for you to land leading roles.''

Then comes the behind-the-scenes story of how the film 'Ping Pong' changed everything. 'I thought it was my last chance before turning 30, so I went to the audition completely bald with no eyebrows. When I got home, my parents' eyes nearly popped out. They thought I'd gone crazy from kabuki stress,' he recalls, reflecting on his desperate state at the time. He not only passed the audition, but the film became a massive hit. After winning five rookie awards, 'Suddenly, people who never paid attention to me started offering roles. I became a lead in kabuki too. But the speed at which Nakamura Shido's fame grew far outpaced my kabuki skills. It was terrifying,' he says, reflecting on his sudden rise and the struggles that followed.

Finally, he shares playful and personal sides: the childish reason behind marital arguments—'hiding ◯◯'—and how he ego-searches after every performance because 'I want to be praised.' He even reveals his current biggest stress: 'My child is stealing my wife from me...' These rare, heartfelt conversations are only possible after being fully 'reset' in the sauna—don't miss them!
