TOKYO MX to Air Special 4K Remastered Episode of 'G-Men '75', Selected by Fan Vote

TOKYO MX (Tokyo Metropolitan Television Broadcasting Corp.) has announced that it will broadcast a 4K remastered version of episode 105 of the classic drama series 'G-Men '75,' titled 'Hong Kong-Macau Police Gang,' on June 14, 2026, at 8:00 PM.

This special broadcast commemorates the release of the 'G-Men '75' complete HD remastered Blu-ray box set (8 volumes total). From the series' 354 episodes (plus the final special), 10 masterpiece episodes were shortlisted, and episode 105 was selected by fan vote for this 4K broadcast.

Episode 105 marks the debut of Inspector Tachibana (Go Wakabayashi), Detective Nakaya (Tsuyoshi Ibuki), and Detective Ryoko Hayami (Maria Mori). It was also the series' first episode filmed on location in Hong Kong and Macau. Reunited from the first episode, the 'golden trio' of screenwriter Susumu Takaku, cinematographer Kazuo Shimomura, and director Ryoichi Takamori collaborated again. The episode is renowned for its intense drama, depicting the tragic loss of Inspector Tachibana's wife and child in an accident.

This is a prime opportunity to enjoy the series in the highest quality ever seen. Notably, the announcement date of May 24 coincides with the 51st anniversary of the series' first broadcast.
