Hidaka Village, Kochi Prefecture, and Ryoma Golf Co., Ltd. will co-host the PGA Men's Senior Tour 'Ryoma Golf Hidaka Village Open' on May 15 and 16. This project marks Japan's first 'professional golf tour hosted by a local government,' demonstrating a new framework for regional revitalization through public-private partnership.

In terms of competition, a unique format will be introduced where senior male professionals and regular female professionals compete in the same group. The participation of figures such as Tatsunori Hara, Daisuke Matsuzaka, and junior players will enhance its appeal to multiple generations.

This is a strategic regional revitalization project that aims to directly connect the Tokyo metropolitan area with local regions through a professional golf tour, and together with sponsorships from willing companies, build a sustainable model case for regional revitalization.

Note: Japan's first (according to the company's own research in January 2026, it is the first PGA Senior Tour hosted by a local government).

Organizer's Comment

The 'Ryoma Challenge Fund' aims to contribute to the region, and we have received donations from many people, including golfers, as well as valuable opinions regarding hometown creation. Among these, we received many requests for a 'project utilizing golf courses within the village,' and based on this, we decided to hold a professional golf tour as a model case for regional revitalization.

This tournament has received cooperation from many individuals, including Tatsunori Hara and Daisuke Matsuzaka, as well as sponsorships from approximately 60 companies, ranging from major corporations to local businesses. Based on this foundation, Hidaka Village and Ryoma Golf will challenge a grand regional revitalization project that disseminates new value and future possibilities nationwide.
