Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. (Bunkyo City, Tokyo / President and CEO: Satoshi Shimizu) will begin accepting orders for the 'DIY-Assembled Reinforced Cardboard Booth' as a corporate spatial product starting Thursday, July 16, 2026. Additionally, the company will revise the specifications of its existing 'Angle Pipe Desk' and 'Angle Pipe Table' to better accommodate diverse office environments.
In recent years, businesses are not only required to adapt to office relocation, expansion, and layout changes, but also to create flexible workspaces that respond to evolving work styles. There is also growing demand for easily expandable meeting spaces without major construction, and for solutions that can adapt to future layout changes.
Since 2022, Ryohin Keikaku has established a dedicated department for spatial design targeting corporations and local governments. Building on its expertise in spatial design and office planning, the company has intensified the development of corporate-focused products. Through specialized websites such as 'Muji Corporate Spatial Products,' it offers services that propose tailored space solutions for various industries and use cases. Based on diverse feedback from client companies, the company has continuously developed and improved products to achieve more flexible and sustainable workspace solutions.
The 'DIY-Assembled Reinforced Cardboard Booth,' now officially launching, first attracted significant attention when exhibited at 'Orgatech Tokyo 2025,' an office furniture trade show held in 2025. Following trial implementations at several companies, it is now being formally introduced to the market.
Additionally, the 'Angle Pipe Desk' and 'Angle Pipe Table' have been enhanced based on client feedback and internal office usage experience, with improved features such as cable management and expandability. These products will be offered as a versatile and adaptable series, capable of responding to office relocation, team size changes, and evolving functional needs.
'DIY-Assembled Reinforced Cardboard Booth'
Developed in response to client requests such as 'needing temporary space dividers for flexible meeting areas,' this booth is made of reinforced cardboard that allows users to assemble and disassemble it themselves while maintaining high durability.
The booth uses reinforced cardboard—known for its high durability in heavy-duty packaging—achieving approximately one-third the weight of wood. It features a structure that enables self-assembly and disassembly without requiring professional contractors. The booth can be relocated as office needs change, and wall panels can be painted or laminated to create customized, brand-aligned spaces. At end-of-life, the entire unit can be recycled as paper waste, contributing to environmental sustainability.
◾️ Product Features
① Easy Assembly and Disassembly
No professional installation is required. The booth can be assembled by users themselves. This enables flexible responses to relocation and layout changes, supporting highly adaptable office environments.
※ Assembly time: Approximately half a day with two adults. Assembly by two or more people is recommended.
② Functional and Cohesive Space Design
Shelves are designed to accommodate Muji storage products, enabling a harmonized and unified office environment.
③ Use of Recyclable Materials
The entire structure, including joints, is made of paper (cardboard), allowing it to be recycled as resource waste after use.
④ Customizable Brand Spaces
In addition to relocation flexibility, wall panels can be painted or laminated to create unique, company-specific spaces.
