MUJI Launches 5 New Audio Devices Under the Concept "Good Sound for Living"

Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director Satoshi Shimizu), which operates MUJI, will launch a total of 8 types of audio devices, including 2 types of "Wireless Headphones with Noise Cancelling Function," 2 types of "Wireless Earphones (Canal Type)," 2 types of "Wireless Earphones (Inner Ear Type)," 1 "Wireless Mobile Speaker with Loop," and 1 "Wireless Compact Speaker." These devices, offering well-balanced sound at accessible prices, will be sequentially released starting July 15 (Wed.) at MUJI stores nationwide and online.

In recent years, the use of music and audio content has expanded beyond the home to various aspects of life, including commuting, work, housework, and outings. Amidst these environmental changes, audio devices are required to be easy to choose according to the place and purpose of use, and to blend naturally into daily life.

This time, under the concept of "Good Sound for Living," we are launching 8 new audio devices that deliver natural sound without excessive emphasis on bass, etc., at accessible prices. The "Wireless Headphones with Noise Cancelling Function" are designed to reduce ambient noise, allowing users to concentrate on playback content while commuting or working. We also offer "Wireless Earphones (Canal Type)" and "Wireless Earphones (Inner Ear Type)" that can be chosen according to usage and preferred fit, providing a wide range of devices for direct ear insertion. Furthermore, we are introducing the "Wireless Mobile Speaker with Loop," which is easy to carry with its attached loop and convenient for use both indoors and outdoors, and the "Wireless Compact Speaker," which is compact and can be placed anywhere, such as the kitchen, dining table, or desk, offering a lineup that can be chosen according to lifestyle and preference.

Wireless Headphones with Noise Cancelling Function

Equipped with active noise cancellation, it reduces ambient noise, making it easier to concentrate on playback content such as music and audio while commuting or working. It supports wireless playback via Bluetooth connection, and can also be used as wired headphones by using a commercially available cable with a 3.5mm stereo mini plug.

The ear pads are replaceable, and the headband uses a durable silicone material. They are easy to carry by folding flat and support low-latency playback with a game mode. The continuous playback time at approximately 50% volume is about 70 hours with the noise cancellation function off, and about 40 hours with it on.

Wireless Earphones (Canal Type)

These earphones have a shape that fits snugly in the ear and is less likely to fall out, making them suitable for daily use such as during commutes. The continuous playback time at approximately 50% volume is about 6 hours. They have a built-in microphone and support calls. S/M/L size ear caps are included and can be adjusted for a comfortable fit. After the initial pairing, they automatically connect when removed from the charging case. They also support individual part sales for each earbud, allowing for additional purchases of a single side in case of loss.

Wireless Earphones (Inner Ear Type)

These earphones do not block the ear too much, allowing ambient sounds to be heard, making them easy to use in daily life such as during housework, commuting, or working. The continuous playback time at approximately 50% volume is about 3 hours and 30 minutes. They have a microphone for calls and are equipped with touch sensors, designed for ease of use in daily life. After the initial pairing, they automatically connect when removed from the charging case. They also support individual part sales for each earbud, allowing for additional purchases of a single side in case of loss.

Wireless Mobile Speaker with Loop

This Bluetooth speaker is easy to carry with its attached loop and convenient for use in various places such as desks, kitchens, balconies, and outdoors. With the speaker unit placed on the front and a passive radiator system (*1) on the back, it reproduces a wide range of frequencies from low to high, with rich bass. It supports TWS (True Wireless Stereo) mode, allowing two units to be connected simultaneously for stereo output, and has IPX5 equivalent waterproof performance (*2). It offers approximately 15 hours of continuous playback at about 50% volume and about 5 hours at maximum volume, and can also be used for calls with its built-in microphone.

Wireless Compact Speaker

This compact, upward-firing speaker is designed to fit even in limited spaces such as dining tables, desks, and shelves. The upward-facing speaker unit allows sound to spread easily into the space, allowing for enjoyable listening in daily life. Two units of the same model can be used together for stereo playback via TWS (True Wireless Stereo) mode. It has IPX5 equivalent waterproof performance and also supports call functions. Continuous playback time is approximately 10 hours at 50% volume and about 2 hours at maximum volume.
