6th Smart City Promotion EXPO" to be Held at Tokyo Big Sight from May 13 (Wed), Where Local Government Smart City Initiatives Can Be Compared and Reviewed through "Technology x Case Studies"

The Local Government and Public Week Executive Committee (planned and operated by RX Japan Ltd., Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will hold the "6th Smart City Promotion EXPO," a specialized exhibition supporting the promotion of smart cities by local governments, at Tokyo Big Sight from May 13 (Wed) to May 15 (Fri), 2026.

This exhibition is a specialized event where smart city initiatives aimed at solving urban problems can be compared and reviewed from both technological and case study perspectives. It gathers a diverse range of solutions that support implementation by local governments, including data utilization, mobility, decarbonization, and urban DX.

As urban challenges such as transportation, environment, and disaster prevention become more complex, local governments are required to organize measures across various fields and connect them to "implementation" by incorporating private sector technologies.

The Smart City Promotion EXPO will be held as a venue where local governments can compare and review specific products, services, and utilization examples for these challenges in the same venue.

At this exhibition, a wide range of elements that constitute a smart city can be viewed at once.

- Autonomous Driving / MaaS - Communication Networks / Sensors / IoT Solutions - Energy Solutions / Data Utilization - Crime Prevention / Security (Security DX)

Furthermore, to make it easier to gather information by challenge, the following special zones will be set up at the venue:

1) Smart Mobility Zone Autonomous vehicles, MaaS platforms, EV / next-generation infrastructure, micro-mobility, etc., will be exhibited.

2) Crime Prevention DX Zone Security cameras, cloud cameras, video management / analysis, image recognition AI, etc., will be exhibited.

3) Regional Decarbonization Promotion Zone Renewable energy, EMS / micro-grids / VPP, green infrastructure, consulting, etc., will be exhibited.

During the exhibition period, seminars directly related to practical work in smart city promotion will also be held, where attendees can learn about policies, advanced case studies, and key points for introduction.

This exhibition is also held as one of the constituent exhibitions of "Local Government and Public Week," which covers services for local governments and public agencies. With a single registration, it is possible to view exhibitions and gather information on related areas such as local government DX, regional revitalization, regional disaster prevention, regional welfare, and infrastructure maintenance.
