Mitsubishi Estate Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Masaya Oshima; hereinafter referred to as "the Company") will implement "ECO PROJECT 2026" as one of its SDGs initiatives. With global warming increasing year by year and electricity demand growing, the Company will carry out eco-friendly projects at each hotel, such as implementing the traditional "uchimizu" (water sprinkling) to invite coolness, offering hospitality with cooling goods, and implementing power-saving measures. We will continue to strive for the promotion of SDGs such as energy conservation and environmental symbiosis, and contribute to the global environment together with our customers.

This project aims to contribute to SDGs Goal 7 "Affordable and Clean Energy" and Goal 13 "Climate Action".
The traditional custom of sprinkling water to cool down: "Uchimizu"
We will be implementing "uchimizu" at each hotel again this year. "Uchimizu" is a Japanese traditional culture of sprinkling water on the ground or roads to cool down. It is considered environmentally friendly as it does not use electricity. Hotel staff will sprinkle water at the hotel entrance and car drop-off areas in the morning before the temperature rises or in the evening as it begins to fall, which are considered effective times. We will also invite guests to participate casually, creating a hotel-wide effort to invite coolness.
Presenting cooling goods to hotel visitors
For three days from Friday, July 31, 2026, to Sunday, August 2, 2026, we will present fans with handles made of bamboo to customers visiting our hotels. Please enjoy a refreshing moment with these portable fans, characterized by the gentle texture of bamboo.
※ Fans will be distributed to the first 100 guests checking in at each hotel [200 guests at The Royal Park Hotel (Tokyo Nihonbashi)] on a first-come, first-served basis.
Implementation of power-saving measures
We will implement power-saving measures such as dimming lights in public spaces like lobbies and front desks, adjusting the air conditioning temperature settings within the facilities, and turning off lights in offices and back areas on Saturday, August 1, which is designated as "Energy Saving Inspection Day" with the aim of reviewing energy consumption.
