The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Nagoya (Location: Chunichi Building, 4-1-1 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya; General Manager: Yasutoshi Shimizu) will offer two types of shaved ice, showcasing the charms of both Japanese and Western styles, for a limited time during the summer at its tea lounge 'THE TEA LOUNGE' starting Tuesday, June 2, 2026. We have prepared two contrasting types of shaved ice, each crafted with a different approach: the 'Tea Ice,' an arrangement of the fragrantly aromatic 'TWG Tea' Earl Grey Gentleman, and the 'Uji Matcha Ice,' which layers deep flavors. Please enjoy a cool moment woven by aroma and taste in the tea room in the sky, overlooking the city of Nagoya.

The 'Tea Ice,' finished with a syrup made from 'TWG Tea,' is a visually cool and elegant dish topped with whipped cream, honey lemon, and chervil. The subtle saltiness of the salt milk ice, made with Lorraine rock salt hidden inside the shaved ice, enhances the aroma of the tea and the sweetness of the honey lemon. Furthermore, by placing a jelly made with 'TWG Tea' at the bottom, you can enjoy the rich tea flavor until the very last bite. Adjust the sweetness to your liking with the side of honey lemon syrup.

On the other hand, the 'Uji Matcha Ice' has a chewy kuromitsu (brown sugar syrup) jelly at the bottom, layered with salt milk ice and shaved ice, and finished with a bittersweet matcha syrup. The whipped cream is adorned with matcha from Myokoen, and the aroma of matcha spreads the moment you taste it. Additionally, the refreshing acidity of yuzu peel and the gentle sweetness of candied chestnuts serve as an accent, creating a dish that harmonizes with the deep flavor of matcha. You can also enjoy a change in taste by adding the condensed milk served on the side.

Please enjoy the contrasting flavors of the Western 'Tea Ice,' coolly finished with a subtractive design that enhances the aroma, and the Japanese 'Uji Matcha Ice,' which expresses depth by layering ingredients.
