About the Instructors

Instructor: Hideto Shimazaki, Chief Blender of Hanyu Distillery & Guest: Shizutani-en

We welcome Mr. Hideto Shimazaki, Chief Blender of Hanyu Distillery, who will explain the background of the distillery's establishment, his commitment to manufacturing, and future prospects.

Additionally, Mr. Kazunori Shizutani, a Master of Whisky, who operates BAR LIVET, BAR Shinjuku Whisky Salon, BAR Tokyo Bourbon Club, and BAR LAST WORD, and is developing the Whisky Salon franchise, will appear as a guest. As a whisky influencer with over 1.2 million total SNS followers, he will discuss the charm and enjoyment of whisky culture.

The latter half of the seminar will feature a tasting session where participants can compare new pot, aged raw spirit, and finished products. This will be a valuable opportunity to experience firsthand the process of raw spirit transforming into whisky.

As the first joint event by Hanyu Distillery and Omiya Whisky Salon, we also plan to share exclusive episodes and development secrets.
