Royal Contract Service Co., Ltd., which is in charge of the contract business within the Royal Group, will grand open the first store of "Onidon," Tenya's new business format, on July 7, 2026 (Tue) within "ecute edition Ochanomizu" at JR Ochanomizu Station.

With the slogan "We Made Tendon Onigiri," "Onidon" is a new business format born from the inspiration of the "staff meal" prepared for staff working at Tenya stores. Mr. Bruce Sato, representative of Bruce & Brothers Co., Ltd., has been appointed as the producer for this brand. With the desire to "make Tenya's tendon bowls more accessible to more customers," we will fully leverage the know-how cultivated over many years at Tenya to provide a new style of "deep-fried and freshly made" rice balls quickly, along with the live experience of tempura being fried right before your eyes.

The Secret Story of "Onidon" Born from Tenya's "Staff Meal"

On a busy day, someone took their staff meal tendon, made it into an onigiri, and ate it, finding it surprisingly delicious. This onigiri tendon, or "Onidon" for short, became a standard staff meal for the shop's chefs, and eventually, regular customers started asking to eat it. This shop was created with the feeling of wanting everyone to eat the best "Onidon."

"Onidon" Brand Concept

The roots of "Onidon" lie in the "staff meal" of the staff working at Tenya stores. Leveraging the "system for deliciously and efficiently frying tempura" cultivated over many years at Tenya, we will provide a new style of "deep-fried and freshly made" Onidon quickly, along with the live experience of tempura being fried right before your eyes.

By combining Onidon, which is portable and easy to eat with one hand, with a hearty pork soup that serves as a main dish, we deliver a "satisfying one soup, one meal" experience that is quick yet fills both the stomach and the heart.

We cater to a wide range of diverse needs at various times, from casual lunches for women dining alone, quick meals for business people and students between commutes, and for tourists during transfers, to takeout to enjoy anywhere. It is a unique fast-casual specialty store that aims for multi-store expansion from small spaces, balancing the convenience of high-quality "eat-in" and everyday "takeout."

"Onidon" x "JB's TOKYO" Grand Opening Collaboration Campaign!

To commemorate the opening, we will hold a collaboration campaign with "JB's TOKYO," a craft burger specialty store that is also opening on the same floor.

For a limited of 6 days from July 7 (Tue) to July 12 (Sun), customers who purchase products at each store in Ochanomizu (first 30 customers per store) will receive "JB's TOKYO Homemade Bread (half loaf)" with the Onidon logo branded on it.
