(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takashi Endo), provider of the AI requirements definition tool "Acsim," will host the "AI Requirements Definition Summit 2026 ~The Future of System Design in Japan, a Customization Powerhouse, Supported by AI Requirements Definition~" on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at TODA HALL & CONFERENCE TOKYO.
This event will focus on the utilization of AI in requirements definition, bringing together SIers, IT/DX departments of operating companies, and engineers and product stakeholders from SaaS companies. It will serve as a forum to discuss how to transform the "on-site capabilities," a recognized strength of Japanese companies, into a competitive advantage through AI.
Tomoko Namba, Representative Director and Chairperson of DeNA Co., Ltd., will deliver the keynote speech. The event is officially supported by the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren). Additional program details and speakers will be announced sequentially on the official website.
◼️ About "AI Requirements Definition Summit 2026"
Japanese companies have historically created unique value by meticulously incorporating on-site knowledge into operations and finely crafting systems. At the heart of this has been precise customization tailored to actual on-site conditions. This accumulation has fostered operational excellence, where the operations themselves are a source of differentiation, supporting the competitiveness of Japanese companies.
On the other hand, in recent years, ideas such as "standardization is justice" and "customization = inefficiency" have gained traction. While it is true that challenges like labor shortages and technical debt exist, abandoning customization itself, which is a strength of Japan, could lead to a loss of competitiveness. What is needed now is not to stop customization, but to evolve into a "structure that allows strategic customization."
The key to this is "requirements definition," which involves verbalizing operations and demands and translating them into design. For many years, this area has been plagued by "personal dependency" relying on experience and intuition. However, with recent advancements in AI, the possibility of structuring requirements definition knowledge and sharing/utilizing it within organizations is expanding.
At this event, SIers, IT/DX departments of operating companies, and engineers and product stakeholders from SaaS companies will gather to discuss, from a practical perspective, how to transform on-site knowledge into design using AI.
