ROHM Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto) has commercialized the "AG16xFNxx series" of 80V-rated MOSFETs compatible with 48V power systems, which are increasingly being adopted for automotive applications. By adopting HPLF5060 (4.9×6.0mm) and DFN3333 (3.3×3.3mm) packages, the new products allow for miniaturization compared to the common TO-252 package, contributing to improved reliability during PCB mounting. Furthermore, the adoption of copper clip bonding improves heat dissipation, enabling support for large currents. All models comply with the automotive reliability standard AEC-Q101, ensuring high reliability. Mass production of the new products began in April 2026, and they are also available for online purchase. In the automotive sector, power demand is increasing, especially in high-end vehicles, and 48V systems are attracting attention as a highly efficient power supply means to replace conventional 12V systems. As adoption is expected to grow around 2030, there is a demand for 80V-rated MOSFETs that can achieve lower losses than general 100V-rated products. To meet these needs, ROHM has newly developed 80V-rated MOSFETs. This product achieves both miniaturization and high mounting reliability, responding to the diverse requirements of the evolving automotive market.
