Public Playtest Registration Opens for Cel-Shaded Fantasy Survival Game 'Stormforge'

June 5, 2026 (California) - Roboto Games, developer of the anticipated fantasy open-world survival crafting game 'Stormforge,' has announced that the public playtest for the title will take place this July. This will provide players with their first opportunity to experience a world ravaged by magical storms. The game is also planned to be localized into Japanese.

To commemorate the announcement, a new gameplay trailer was revealed at the Women-Led Games Showcase.

'Stormforge' offers a survival experience supporting up to 8-player co-op, set in a world dominated by magical storms. Each storm presents unique dangers, such as tornadoes that pick up rocks, trees, and enemies, or sandstorms that obscure vision and deal damage to players. Unique mechanics are designed for each storm, which significantly alter gameplay, offering powerful resources while harboring dangerous creatures.

Players begin their adventure as a Warrior, Mage, or Ranger, and can unlock new classes by defeating bosses. Furthermore, players can freely combine skills and abilities from all unlocked classes to build their own unique playstyle. Surviving storms and exploring dungeons allow players to acquire new skills, totaling over 100 varieties.

During the private testing period, we received a lot of feedback from the community and have evolved our character classes based on it. For example, you can play as a Warrior specializing in stealth, or a Mage who wipes out swarms of enemies with jump attacks. Freely combine skills and abilities from each class and enjoy your own 'Stormforge'."

'Stormforge' is currently accepting wishlist registrations on Steam, with an early access launch planned for 2026.
