Development Background

Maximizing the added value of an "easy-to-carry storage box" while maintaining usability

As user feedback, we received comments such as, "My hands hurt when lifting containers filled with heavy items while using Trunk Cargo." Trunk Cargo is utilized by many people for storing and transporting tools in various scenes, including outdoor activities. Therefore, we considered "improving portability" to be an urgent issue.

Carrying tests conducted under the supervision of Nagoya City University's Graduate School of Data Science

For the commercialization of the "Trunk Cargo Easy Grip Type," a grip shape was developed to reduce the burden on hands and arms. Under the supervision of Nagoya City University's Graduate School of Data Science, objective evaluations were conducted by measuring muscle activity during carrying, along with subjective surveys based on the "degree" felt by subjects.

New and Old Grip Evaluation Test Results

As a result of the tests, it was found that the new grip reduced muscle activity by 10% compared to the conventional grip. Furthermore, a survey conducted on subjects showed that hand strain and pain when gripping were reduced.
